Long Beach Common Dolphins!

A beautiful week of boating and snorkeling in and around Catalina Island. The channel between Long Beach and Catalina was an easy crossing as we lazily spent the day in the company of dolphins and slept out under the stars at night. What a perfect time to be here - the off season - so few other boats and lots of anchorages and moorings available! The highlight of the trip had to be these short-beaked common dolphins. Their aerial antics never cease to amaze even the most jaded photgrapher (me)! You can feel the rush as they catch serious air...
