Falkland Islands

For me it is the bird life that is so amazing in the Falkland Islands. Here are a few of my favorite images from this time around. Guess you could say that the Falklands are going to the birds!

Black-browed albatross landing on nest at Devil's Nose on New Island.

Rockhopper penguin colony on New Island, westernmost inhabited island in the Falklands.

Rockhopper penguins mutually preening each other...check out those crazy head feathers!

Rock Shag squaking in Gypsey Cove just outside Stanley, the capital city of the Falklands.
